Role and responsibility

The Agency contributes legal advice, institutional guidance and legal and policy instruments supporting APLA’s work, including lawful initiatives relating to prisoners and affected families.

The Agency works within the wider constitutional and institutional architecture coordinated through the Office of the Secretary General and the Secretariat. Detailed responsibilities remain governed by the approved Framework and Terms of Reference.
