Our work
Justice, peace and civilian protection.
APLA’s public commitments connect a just negotiated political process with immediate human needs and accountable institutional action.
01 / Peace
Justice, peace and negotiated settlement
APLA seeks an internationally guaranteed ceasefire framework, effective civilian protection, humanitarian access, independent monitoring and a substantive process for the legal and political determination of status.
Its proposed confidence-building measures include demilitarization, release of detainees, safe passage and freedom of movement, and international mediation in a neutral venue. The safe-passage measure calls for freedom of movement, guaranteed safe passage and protection against refoulement. The Manifesto presents these as measures to support dialogue, not conditions that must all be met before dialogue begins.
02 / Protection
Civilian protection and humanitarian assistance
Displaced families, refugees, detainees, children whose education has been interrupted and communities whose livelihoods have been damaged require assistance responsive to their circumstances.
APLA commits to making humanitarian protection and assistance a continuing priority and seeks cooperation with qualified humanitarian organizations and community initiatives.
03 / Legal protection
Political prisoners and legal protection
APLA will pursue lawful avenues for release, legal assistance and family support. Its commitment to legal protection also extends to refugees, internally displaced people and others facing legal and humanitarian difficulties arising from the conflict.
04 / Engagement
Diplomacy and international engagement
APLA will seek consideration of the Ambazonia Question through documented submissions, diplomatic communication, legal work and humanitarian cooperation. Engagement with an institution should not be understood as a partnership unless APLA confirms one publicly.
05 / Participation
Community participation
Recognized communities provide platforms for people to contribute expertise, communicate concerns and engage with institutional programs. APLA seeks meaningful participation by women and young people in decisions that affect their safety, opportunities and well-being.
06 / Stewardship
Institutional development and sustainability
APLA commits to professional administration, clear responsibilities, budgeting, reporting and careful use of resources entrusted to it. Its institutions are to be measured by the responsibilities they discharge and the service they provide.
